42' — Quiñones 2-1 · Mexico sent in a free kick and it was back-heeled by Konsa to about knee height and Quiñones lashed home with a side volley. The stadium erupted back to life.

60' — Kane 3-1 · It's the captain coming through again for England. Kane converts a cool and clinical finish, extending the lead down a player.

~79' — Jiménez 3-2 (pen) · Brian Gutierrez earns a penalty, and Raúl Jiménez steps up to the spot and calmly sweeps the ball past Pickford's dive. The co-hosts are right back in this — a grandstand finish in Mexico City.

England held on. With 10 men. At the Azteca. Against the co-hosts who hadn't conceded a single goal all tournament.

Jarell Quansah was sent off for England against Mexico in the World Cup round of 16. Despite the red card, Tuchel's men stood firm, defended brilliantly, and booked their place in the quarterfinals — where they face Norway in Miami on July 11.

Norway 2–1 Brazil: Haaland's Night

Erling Haaland headed in the go-ahead goal in the 80th minute and scored again before the end of regulation time, carrying Norway into the World Cup quarterfinals for the first time with a 2-1 victory over Brazil.

Haaland broke the deadlock with an emphatic header 11 minutes from time before hammering home a sensational second on 90 minutes to put the result beyond doubt.

"I dreamt of playing in the World Cup with Norway. I never expected to win against Brazil," Haaland said after the match.

Haaland's brace took him level with Lionel Messi on seven goals in the race for the World Cup Golden Boot. Norway face England in the quarterfinals in Miami on July 11 — Haaland vs Bellingham. The match nobody saw coming two weeks ago.

Quarterfinal 2 Is Set: Norway vs England · July 11 · Miami

Norway moves on to the quarterfinals and will play the winner of Sunday night's Mexico-England match on Saturday, July 11 at 5pm.

The United States advanced as the Group D winner and will face Belgium after beating Bosnia 2-0 with 10 men — Tillman's free kick one of the moments of the tournament. Belgium survived Senegal controversially in extra time and arrive in Seattle knowing a win sends them into a quarterfinal against Spain or Portugal.
